I’m shihaj, a Digital Marketer from Malappuram, Kerala, building my skills one real project at a time. I’m interested in the online world and chose digital marketing as a career path because I believe there’s always something new to learn, create, and improve.
MY STORY
From Curiosity to a Career
My journey into digital marketing started with my interest in the online world and the opportunities it creates. After completing my +2, I decided to pursue Digital Marketing and turn that interest into a career.
I’m currently learning Digital Marketing at Skillage Academy, Malappuram, while also doing an internship to gain practical experience. Instead of learning only through theory, I enjoy trying things myself, making mistakes, improving, and understanding how digital strategies actually work.
My goal is simple — keep learning, gain real-world experience, and become someone who can create digital solutions that genuinely help businesses.

MY FIRST REAL WORK
Where It All Started
My first real design work wasn’t for a big company or a famous brand. It was for a local Nabidhina program, where our club distributed sweets. I designed a small card for the event using Canva.
It may have been a simple design, but for me, it was the moment I realised that I could actually create something that people could use in the real world.
That small project gave me the confidence to keep creating, experimenting, and learning.

MY APPROACH
Marketing Is More Than Promotion
“Marketing isn’t just about promoting something online. It’s about understanding people, identifying their problems, and finding a better way to solve them.”
For me, good marketing starts with understanding the customer. Whether it’s a website, social media post, advertisement, or campaign, the goal shouldn’t be just to make something look good or get attention. It should create value and give the audience a reason to care.

BEFORE DIGITAL MARKETING
Before stepping into digital marketing, I had experience working in a mobile shop and a dress shop. Those experiences taught me something that no software or marketing tool can teach — how to understand people.
I learned to listen to customers, understand what they actually need, and deal with different kinds of people patiently. Every customer is different, and understanding them is often more important than simply trying to sell something.
I believe that experience will help me in digital marketing too. Because behind every click, follower, lead, or customer, there is a real person.
MY GOAL
Building a Career in Digital Marketing
I’m currently learning, experimenting, and gaining real-world experience through projects and internship work. My goal is to grow into a Digital Marketing Specialist and eventually work as a freelancer, helping businesses build their online presence and improve their digital visibility.
